MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1990. Stopped in 1992 after 23 issues.

The title character is Alex Murphy, a police officer in Detroit, Michigan, who is killed on duty and subsequently revived as a superhuman cyborg. During his rejoining in the police ranks Murphy struggles to balance his natural human side with that of his more offensive robotic side.

The series is basically a spinoff from a 1987 film by the same title.
