MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2009. Ongoing.

The stories revolve around high school student Sakura Mamiya and her classmate Rinne Rokudo, who is both a human and a shinigami (a Japanese death spirit who accompanies deceased people to the next spiritual step which is reincarnation). They share some kind of bond as Mamiya is able to see ghosts, and furthermore they develop romantic feelings for each other.

The series' protagonist's first name is Rinne, but its English title is stylized as Rin-ne.
