MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1948*. Stopped in 1957 after 10 issues.

This is an annual album series published at Christmas as a prize given by a newspaper. It is a humourous story about an English farmboy's (mis)adventures posing as a valiant knight in the time of Merlin the magician.

* The series was first published from 1935 to 1961 as an American newspaper strip titled Oaky Doaks.
