MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2002. Stopped in 2013 after 11 issues.

The main character is the German Wehrmacht soldier Heinrich Augsburg, who dies at the Eastern Front in 1944. As punishment for his war crimes he is teleported to a part of Hell that is a planet named Auferstehung (Resurrection in English) that is, among others, populated by fighting fractions of gods as well as diverse undead creatures such as vampires, werewolfs, and zombies. He is then appointed the title of Vampirritter (Vampire knight in English) with the task of neutralizing enemies and his name becomes Requiem.

The series carries the subtitle Der Vampirritter.
