Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1946. Stopped in 1949 after 21 issues.

The series presents a cavalcade of surprising and colourful titbits in many genres slightly remindful of Believe It or Not. Despite its title the series occasionally also presents a number of cartoon series such as Daniel Boone, Rin Tin Tin, and Tommy Tomorrow.
