MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1942*. Stopped in 1962 after 58 issues.

The series contains independent stories featuring diverse types of American rangers beginning with World War 2 soldiers and ending with characters from the Old West. A recurring one from the latter category is Firehair, a white girl living among the Sioux Indians.

* Initially, the series was titled Rangers of Freedom Comics from 1941 to 1942 (7 issues) featuring a band of fighting superhero rangers during World War 2 led by Biff Barkley.
