MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1977. Stopped in 1989 after 9 issues.

The title character in this historical tale is an intrepid and adventurous bastard son of the Spanish king of Castile Alfonso VIII (1158-1214), who is entrusted with a perilous mission to recover a fabulous treasure supposedly once left by the ancient German visigoths.
