Comments: * The corporation was bought by Acclaim Entertainment in 1994 that stopped in 2004. Valiant then continued the corporation from 2008. Different logos were used during the periods; the one shown to the left derives from the initial run.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1992. Stopped in 1995 after 34 issues*.

The starring characters are a succession of Japanese warriors infused with synthetic blood from a secret project called Project Rising Spirit. The treatment gives them speed, agility, and a healing factor in their fight against villains and other menaces. The Rai succession started with Yagami-San, and in the series it has reached Tohru Nakadai (#42) and Takao Konishi (#43).
The series has several visitors from other series such as Archer & Armstrong, Bloodshot, Eternal Warrior, Magnus Robot Fighter, and Turok.

* The issues span from #0 (which was wedged in between 8 and 9) to #33, and the series was retitled Rai and the Future Force from #9 to #23.
