MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1988. Stopped in 1989 after 11 issues, but was continued in a new series from 1989 to 1990 (additional 10 issues).

The main character in this manga series is Rex Racer, who is an enigmatic loner with a flair for racecar driving. He competes in Car 9 which is nicknamed The Shooting Star. Racer is the older brother of the title character in Speed Racer.
