The series premiered in
1969. Stopped in 1974.
The main character Pythagore is a
talking owl with a knack for mathematics, hence
the name after the famous Greek mathematician
Pythagoras. Unfortunately, this useful
educational strength is often countered by the
owl's disposition for getting colds as well as a
deplorable inclination for excessive drinking.
The series starts with Pythagore getting
acquianted with three youngsters, Mathieu Dévore,
Ketty, and Octane, and they all travel the world
on both exciting and dangerous adventures.
The series' full title is Les
Aventures de Pythagore et Cie (The
Adventures of Pythagore and Company).
