Name: DC (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation's logo changed several times over the years. The selected one ran from 1976 to 2005.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1995. Stopped in 2000 after 66 issues, but has been revived a few times since then.

The starring character is Jesse Custer, who is a preacher in Annville, Texas. Driven by an urge to do good he travels the USA hoping to find God, and on the way he manages to neutralize several bad persons.
