The series premiered in
1952. Stopped in 1962 after 57 issues.
The title character is an overweight
pig who is usually seen in everyman roles, where
he has a distinct tendency to get into trouble.
Often he is in the company of two sidekicks, the
girlfriend Petunia Pig and the nephew Cicero Pig.
Sometimes Porky has to endure tumultuous visits
by Bugs Bunny and Daffy.
The series is based on an animated
short cartoon series that ran from 1935 to 2004.
