MAIN STORY |
The
series officially premiered in 1912, but Sterrett's first
attempt with the family in a series (named For This
We Have Daughters?) originates from 1911. Stopped in
1958. This is a series about a normal family consisting of a father and a mother and their daughter Polly. She is the first leading heroine in the comic book history, but as time went by Sterrett focussed on her parents and more periferic family members and friends of the house, and Polly became a rare occurance in the panels. At first, the full title of the series was Positive Polly but it soon changed to its final full title Polly and Her Pals. |
