MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1933.

The dog Pluto comes from the mouse universe, and he is owned by Mickey Mouse. Pluto is not reminiscent of any known breed of dogs, in fact he more resembles a rubbery stick figure. Although Pluto is perceived as an anthropomorphic character, he never speaks, but his thoughts are rendered in either thought bubbles or narration.

The stories were/are written by an overwhelming number of artists. Examples: Carl Robert Fallberg (1915-1996), Donald 'Don' Ragnvald Christensen (1916-2006), Del G. Connell (1918-2011), Joel Katz (1945-), Paul Halas (1949-), Alessandro Perina (1958-).
