MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1969*. Stopped in 1982 after 681 issues, but was continued until 1993 titled Le Nouveau Pif (additional 571 issues).

This weekly series was aimed at young boys and girls. It featured diverse activities, a special gadget as a gift in every issue, as well as several graphic stories of which the dog Pif was the most often occurring.

* The series was a continuation of Vaillant, in which the Pif le Chien series had been published for some years with enormous popularity, thus the publisher opted for an independent series.
