MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2003. Stopped in 2005 after 10 issues, but was continued titled Tokyo Pet Shop of Horrors from 2008 to 2011 (additional 8 issues).

The episodic stories focus on a pet shop situated in Los Angeles' Chinatown, where the mysterious caretaker - known as Count D - sells strange, often humanoid, creatures. The stories are somewhat linked insofar that a detective named Leon Orcot is sometimes roaming around suspecting the shop to be a front for drug trafficking.
