Comments: Durbridge is the most famous 'cliffhanger' suspense writer for radio and TV ever. One of his creations, Paul Temple, started already in 1938 on BBC and ended in 2001 as both radio plays and TV series.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1951. Stopped in 1971.

The strip is about a crime novelist(!), who starts working as a private detective with his wife called Steve. They spend most of their time solving crime mysteries, and they frequently work for Sir Graham Forbes from Scotland Yard as well as a Fleet Street journalist named Steve Trent.
