Name: Semic Press (subsidiary of the worldwide Egmont Group).
Personal dates: Founded in Sweden in 1950 as a comic book subdivision of the publishing company Bonnier AB and has since then changed name several times (the most well known older name is probably Serieförlaget). Sold to Egmont in 1997.

Comments: The corporation's name is a contraction of Series and Comics. The Semic pages in this site contain  examples from the Swedish and the Norwegian main branches.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1992*. Stopped in 1993 after 7 issues.

This Norwegian series contains a mixture of horror and suspense in self-contained stories often of the more psychological and macabre kind.

The Norwegian title Nye Sjokk means New Schocks in English.

* A single volume simply titled Sjokk and issued by another publisher premiered in 1973 hence the new series' title.
