The series premiered in
1937.
This series consists of
humorous stories in the environment of a
Norwegian military camp. The main character is
the naive, yet smart, private 91 August Stomperud
who causes all sorts of mishaps, although he is
trying to act like a soldier.
The series - which is often only
referred to as 91 Stomperud or merely Stomperud -
is based on the Swedish series 91:an Karlsson.
