CREATOR

Name: DC (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation's logo changed several times over the years. The selected one ran from 1976 to 2005.

 

 

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1982. Stopped in 1983 after 14 issues, but has been revived twice in shortlived issues since then.

A sorcerer, who goes by the name of Baron Winters, has assembled a team to fight supernatural threats. He does not participate in any of the missions but stays in his home Wintersgate Manor in Washington, D.C., from where he dispatches his agents, who change and are being replaced from time to time.
