MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1997*. Stopped in 1998 after 7 issues, but continued in 4 more series until 2000 (additional 28 issues).

The starring teenage character is Miyu (Japanese for Beauty of the Evening), a so-called Dhampir (mother vampire and father human), and she spends her time hunting down wandering Shinmas, which are evil gods bent on molesting humans. Among her special abilities is teleportation, levitation, opening of portals, and fire attacks. At her side most of the time she has her demonic companion Larva.
Miyu has the same blood as Vampire Yui, whom she regards as some sort of a sister.

* The character was first published in Japan from 1988 to 2002 titled Vampire Princess Miyu, thus the American series was titled New Vampire Miyu.
