MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1940*. Stopped in 1944.

The character of Mr. Mystic is an adventurer by the name of Ken (no surname ever mentioned), and he is one of the numerous, shortlived figures with strange powers that appeared in the USA in those years. He gained his special powers from Tibetan monks, who pulled him from a crashed airplane. They declared him an extraordinarily potent prophet and endowed him with unlimited powers over mind and body. The forces originate from the monks' esoteric tattoo on his forehead, which is always covered by a turban.

* The series was first syndicated in 1939 in England as Yarko the Great.
