This is part of a large children's comic book series containing more than 200 characters created from 1959 on by cartoonist Mauricio Araújo de Sousa.

The recurring main character on this page is Mônica. She and her friends have become teenagers.

An identical series was published alongside this edition. It is in English and titled Monica Teen.
