The series premiered in 2007*. Stopped in 2015 after 100 issues.

This is part of a large children's comic book series containing more than 200 characters created from 1959 on by cartoonist Mauricio Araújo de Sousa.

The recurring main character on this page is the small girl Mônica who is perceived as a leading figure for the other children.

* Another publisher issued the first long series with the same title from 1970 to 1986 (200 issues).
