Momsemor is the all-dominating character in a family of three generations living under the same roof, and she is the grandmother. Momsemor is a faceted person; on the one hand she adores her grandchildren and plays with them as a youngster, on the other hand she effectively grinds down everyone who crosses her - she even makes objects stand to attention if she so chooses! But we are never in any doubt that this anarchistic, non-conformist grandmother has a heart of gold. Also, Momsemor has a weakness; her unending passion for old Rudolph Valentino films.
The term Momsemor is untranslatable into other languages, but it can be perceived as a term of endearment.

* Actually the series originates from 1976 in the USA under the title Granny and Slowpoke, but it never caught on. WOW then quickly adjusted his very Danish series for the international market under its current title.
