The starring character was created
as a funny animal parody of Superman,
and the parallels are obvious. He wears the same
type of costume and he has the same type of
superpowers as his role model from the 'real'
world.
The full title of the series is The
Adventures of Mighty Mouse. A second run (1966-1967,
7 issues) was simply titled Mighty Mouse.
