The series premiered in 1982.

The character of Marvin is (still after three decades) a young baby boy with all the good and less good sides that can be expected; he can be adorable or throw tantrums, and he can be behaving considerately or self-centered. His parents, Jenny and Jeff Miller have their hands full and they always look tired.
Although Marvin has not changed a bit since his first appearance, the series as such has developed; for instance, many new supporting characters have emerged such as the dog Bitsy, the grandparents Bea and Roy, the new neighbours the Purfects, and several others.
