MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1965. Stopped in 1969 after 22 issues, but was revived as Marvel's Greatest Comics from 1969 to 1981 (additional 74 issues).

As the title suggests Marvel ran reprints of some of their oldest stories enabling new readers to experience the first adventures featuring several action superstars and to let new collectors build up a collection of rarities. Recurring characters are Doctor Strange, Fantastic Four, and The Incredible Hulk.
