MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1978*. Stopped in 1997 after 13 issues**.

The title character is a pipe smoking air pilot who is hired to perform diverse odd missions using his airplane Le Vieux Pélican (The Old Pelican). The jobs are often quite hard, but he uses his cunning and stoic nature to see them through.

The full title of the first 11 issues was Les Aventures de Martin Milan.

* Initially, a series by the same title was published - partly by Dargaud - from 1971 to 1975 (5 issues).
