The series premiered in 1989. Stopped in

The series comprises of short stories about a
shabby and rather repulsive looking detective who solves strange
cases. Montano is gliding down the social ladder (and his normal
means of transportation is a scooter!), but the ladies seem to
like him nevertheless.
