MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1992. Stopped the same year after 7 issues, but has since been published in an additional 9 continuing parts until 2003.

The overall series plotline is that of a young widow Kyoko Otonashi, who is running a small Tokyo boarding house bearing the series' title. The house is populated by many interchangeable characters with different stories and fates that intertwine with each other. Often the plots are of a romantic nature.
A few of the many tenants are the barmaid Akemi, the poor student dropout Yusaku Godai, the tennis coach Shun Mitaka, the student Kozue Nanano, and the mysterious Yotsuya.

The series' title means House of the Moment in English.
