MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1997*. Stopped in 1998 after 11 issues, but has been revived briefly a few times since then.

The starring character is Kevin Matchstick, but as Mage he is a superhero carrying a magical baseball bat as his primary weapon. The bat is equivalent to fabled King Arthur's famous sword Excalibur.

The full title of the series is Mage the Hero Defined.

* The initial series ran from 1984 to 1986 (15 issues) and was titled Mage the Hero Discovered.
