MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1982. Stopped in 1997 after 13 issues.

The title character is Louis Ferchot, nicknamed La Guigne (meaning Bad Luck in English), who has spent years as a French soldier during World War I, and then he was imprisoned for more years due to his participation in a mutiny. Now, in 1922, he is free but he does no longer recognize his beloved France, so he travels out into the world hoping to start a new life.
