MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1947. Stopped in 1976.

This 4-panel newspaper pantomime strip is reminiscent of Ferd'nand; it stars a family man, Louie, as well as a nameless wife and a nameless dog, and they are all entirely silent. Louie is a small man with a big moustache, that tends to show his mood at the moment (for instance, by hanging when he is sad). By nature Louie is a mild-mannered character leading an eventless life, and he was once described by Hanan as an anti-Superman.
