The series premiered in 1949. Stopped in 1961 after 73 issues.

The starring character is a sidekick from the series Joe Palooka about a heavyweight boxing champion. He is a mute orphan kid with a nice demeanour, an inventive mind, and a healthy curiosity.

The full title of the series is Little Max Comics.
