The series premiered in 1979. Stopped in 1990.

The epic stories take place in the end of the 18th century in England, France, Africa, and the West Indies. The series has several recurring characters, but mainly we follow the beautiful Isabella (usually referred to as Isa) on lengthy and arduous sea voyages onboard different vessels.

The series' title Les Passagers du Vent means The Passengers of the Wind in English.
