This is a Manga series telling of a horrible disease called Medusa that calcifies the body and causes certain death. The Vega company has a solution; they have the capacity to cryo-preserve 160 people until a cure can be found. They are chosen at random among the Earth's population.
The teenager Kasumi Ishiki is one and she goes to sleep. But the overall experiment fails as the survivors only sleep for two days before they wake up to a changed world, in which all soil has been invaded by giant brambles.
