Name: DC (American comics corporation).
Personal dates: Founded in 1934 by Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson (1890-1968) as National Allied Publications, but the name changed in 1937 to Detective Comics (later shortened to DC). Stopped in 2011.

Comments: The corporation's logo changed several times over the years. The selected one ran from 1976 to 2005.

MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1989. Stopped the same year after 10 issues*.

The series presents a team of extraterrestrial superheroes, who act as an interplanetary police force to keep peace in their galaxy. The group is called L.E.G.I.O.N., which stands for Licensed Extra-Governmental Interstellar Operatives Network.

* The series described on this page has the full title L.E.G.I.O.N. '89, and in the following years new series were formed where the years were changed. The last issue was published in 1994.
