The
series premiered in 1982. Stopped in 1986 after 6 issues. This was initially a British children's book series consisting of detective work, mystery, and suspense. The recurring characters are Claudine 'Claude' Dorsel (Georgina 'George' Kirrin), François Gauthier (Julian Kirrin), Michel 'Mick' Gauthier (Richard 'Dick' Kirrin), Annie Gauthier (Ann Kirrin), and the dog Dagobert (Timmy). The series is loosely based on the British author Enid Blyton's teenage books The Famous Five, but part of the issues on this page are based on the French translator Claude Voilier who wrote 24 new books from 1971 to 1985. The full title of the series is Les Aventures du Club des Cinq. |
