Herriman had drawn the cat and the mouse as 'filling'
below his panels for The Family Upstairs.
Stopped in 1944 following Herriman's death. The character of Krazy Kat (gender unknown) lives in a strange, barren and dream-like landscape patrolled by a police dog named Pupp. Ignatz Mouse seems to bear some sort of grudge against Kat, which causes him/her (gender unknown) to hurl bricks at Kat, who, in turn, perceives the brick-throwing as a declaration of love! |
