MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1960. Stopped in 1965 after 23 issues.

The starring character is a chimpanzee that is given a serum that makes it grow to enormous proportions and go on a rampage in the city of London, England. Later on, Konga uses its immense strength to help humankind in several ways, one of which is battling aliens.

The series is loosely based upon the British monster film Konga from 1961 (see also Gorgo).
