The series premiered in
1962. Stopped in 1967 after 20 issues.
The title character supposedly lives on a
Pacific island that is teeming with dangerous wildlife of the
gigantic and prehistoric types such as man-eating plants,
mutated insects, and the odd dinosaurs. To add to Kona's
troubles he also has to take care of a family who got marooned
earlier on.
The full title of the series is Kona Monarch of
Monster Isle.
