The series premiered in 1983. Stopped in
2008.
The title character, Nakamura Kogaratsu, serves as
a mercenary in the 17th century's tumultuous, feudal Japan. He
lives as a samurai and his prime interests are his honour and
his weapons, that are used to destroy villainous opponents.
The album series starts from number 0 (instead of number 1), in
which Kogaratsu is introduced and his martial skills are
established and honed.
