MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1957. Stopped in 1965 after 42 issues, but continued titled Gunfighters until 1984 (additional 33 issues).

Initially, the starring character was branded as an outlaw in the Wild West, but he soon became famous as a righteous guy who could outsmart and outgun the dangerous villains he encountered.

From #44 the title changed to Montana Kid and the starring character seemingly aged somewhat. At least, he was now presented with grey hair at the temples.
