MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 2006. Stopped in 2008 after 7 issues.

A thousand years ago 88 fabled beasts were imprisoned by 5 elemental warriors thus saving mankind from destruction. But the beasts succeeded in cursing the warriors of Fire, Sky, and Wind into one day freeing the beasts. The remaining warriors of Earth and Water now try to set things right.
In present-day Japan the Man of Earth, Ishigami Kamuro, looks up the reincarnation of the Maiden of Water, Mikogami Misao, who is a high school student with no knowledge of her ancient powers, and they form a partnership that will rid the world of the beasts forever.
