The series premiered in 1987. Stopped in
1989.
The title character is an orphan boy, who runs away
from his evil guardian only to follow the nice innkeeper Frede
on several adventures. Here they encounter all sorts of fairy
taleish characters such as dragons, witches, trolls, unicorns,
and pirates, but they also find time to search for a hidden
treasure.
