The series premiered in
1974. Stopped in 1995.
The series is reminiscent of the
Wild West opuses of Buddy Longway.
Initially, Cartland started out as a trapper and
a friend of the Indian tribes, and he settled
down and married an Oglala Indian called Little
Snow (originally named Petite Neige in French).
When she is brutally murdered, Cartland starts to
roam around; he lives with the Indians, he joins
the military as a scout, and he accompanies many
of the pioneer groups heading for new settlements
in the West.
