Comments: The corporation primarily publishes a range of paperback books in several genres. From 1945 to 1954 it added comic books to the production, but most of the series lasted only for a few issues.

 

 

MAIN STORY
The series premiered in 1950. Stopped in 1956 after 24 issues*.

The series contains fabricated stories from the Old West featuring the notorious real outlaw Jesse Woodson James (1847-1882). In the stories he is portrayed as more of a roguish bandit with the tagline Bandit Chieftain of the Wild West on most of the front covers.

* The last issue was #29 as nos. 10 to 14 were never published.
