MAIN STORY

The series premiered in 1953. Stopped in 1958 after 18 issues.

The series stars a Texas ranger by the name of Jace Pearson. We follow him in his work tracking down villains in the Old West assisted by his horse Charcoal, that was later replaced by a new one called Star.

The series is partly a spinoff from a TV series named Tales of the Texas Rangers (1955-1957). In it Pearson works in two individual time periods: He was either coralling desperados in the 1850s, or hunting criminals in the 1950s! The latter events were partly presented in some of Dell's front covers!

The full title of the series is Jace Pearson of the Texas Rangers, but it was retitled Jace Pearson's Tales of the Texas Rangers after 8 issues.
