The series premiered in
1966. Stopped in 1969 after 9 issues.
The scene is a German prisoner of war camp
during World War 2. Two parties dominate the
actions; the resourceful Allied prisoners and the
stupid Nazi guards. The latter group is fooled on
a regular basis, but still both parties seem to
have found some strange form of mutual
understanding.
The series is named after the American Colonel
Robert E. Hogan, who, despite his rather
restricted position, is the real leader of the
camp.
The series is a spinoff from a TV
series that ran for 168 episodes from 1965 to
1971.
